Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position at an acute care hospital recognized as one of America's 100 Best hospitals for Coronary Intervention.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with a cardiac cath lab unit rated among America's 100 Best hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades
- Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker implantation for patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
- Daily caseload of 8–12 cases
- 4x10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call required; no weekend requirement
- No floating within the unit, however all travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Active ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
- Fluoroscopy Permit required — candidates with a pending Fluoro Permit will be considered if the permit application has already been submitted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Professional license must be active at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within a comparable specialty within the last 3 years required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as permanent pacemaker implantations
- 30-hour orientation provided
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
- Free parking on the first day; assignment parking details provided during orientation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All requested time off (RTO) must be approved and submitted at time of consideration — post-submission RTO requests may be denied
- The facility offers housing assistance resources, including access to a realtor, for travelers who need help finding accommodations
- Located in Eureka, CA — within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks, including the Redwood Highway and the California coast
