Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 24-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) specializing in comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support for critically ill adults
- Patient population includes post-operative open-heart surgery, ventricular assist devices (VADs), heart and lung transplants, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repair, and vascular and thoracic surgeries
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are acuity-based and vary between 1:1, 1:2, and 2:1
- Rotating day and night shifts (3x12s); days: 7:00–19:30, nights: 19:00–7:30
- Weekend availability required per unit needs
- Floating within scope to like units required per unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting via Epic
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Experience with vasoactive medications and advanced cardiopulmonary support modalities required

- Unit is a regional destination for advanced circulatory and respiratory support, utilizing a multidisciplinary, holistic care model
- Scrub color: navy
- Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local pay rate
- RTO is capped at 10 days for the contract; blackout periods apply during specific high-demand dates — contact your recruiter for details
