Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Neuro ICU unit within a large, short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ staffed beds
• Patient ratio averages 1:2 on both day and night shifts
• Charting performed in Epic
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• Parking is available on-site at an additional cost

Requirements

• Active RN license (Connecticut or Compact); pending license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being eligible to work as a traveler
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval

• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
