Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week contract requiring at least 4 years of echo experience in high-acuity, fast-paced settings.

Details

• Works across both inpatient and outpatient echo settings, with floating to a nearby clinic location
• Patient types include CAD, hypertension, post-TAVR, TEE, and pediatric patients (typically 3–4 pediatric cases per week)
• EMR: Epic
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation of approximately every other weekend (1 in 3 weekends currently)
• On-call requirement includes 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend every 4th weekend, with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of echo experience in high-acuity, fast-paced facilities
• Current BLS required
• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
• Experience with CAD, hypertension, post-TAVR, and TEE patient populations
• Pediatric echo experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience
• Ability to perform high-quality scans across a wide range of echo patients with strong clinical judgment
• License required if applicable
• At least 1 supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a 2nd reference will be needed prior to start

• First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality diagnostic imaging across a variety of echo patient types
• Expected to exercise independent clinical judgment and know when to seek additional support
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
