Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a WA or compact RN license, with EP and interventional radiology procedures.

Details

• Located in a hospital cardiac cath lab setting
• Patient population includes cardiac diagnostic and interventional cases, implantable devices, EP mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology
• Uses Epic and Merge EMR systems
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation; weekends are covered by call only
• On-call required: approximately every 4th weekend (Friday 1700 through Monday 0700), plus one weekday call per week from end of shift until 0700 the following morning
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab nursing experience required
• Proficiency in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical status monitoring skills
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in the cath lab
• Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support
• Effective communication skills with the patient care team, patients, and families
• At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start
