Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit (2W) within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• 13-week contract
• Weekend requirement follows a 4/4-week schedule with 8 weekend shifts per 4-week rotation; candidates must be available for 4 of the 8 weekend shifts (day shift: Sat/Sun)
• Floating required to unit 3W and other units as needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• PALS, ACLS, and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive test, including CBD products
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
