Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical (2W) position in Kerrville, TX, requiring at least 1 year of experience and availability for night shift weekend rotations.

Details

• Work in the Medical/Surgical unit (2W) of a regional medical center in Kerrville, TX — located in Texas Hill Country wine region, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement: Must be available for 4 of 8 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; night shift weekends fall on Friday and Saturday nights
• Floating required to unit 3W and other units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Two supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• The facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result
