Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medicine Specialty Step Down Unit position requiring at least one year of Med/Surg or Step Down experience, with night shift availability in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Position is located in a hospital Medicine Specialty Step Down Unit
• Med/Surg and Step Down (SD) experience is required; ICU experience is preferred
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and obtains and monitors physiological patient data
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and physician-ordered treatments
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals to appropriate personnel
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation after completing 26 weeks (one contract + one extension) before being eligible to return
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
