Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, TX, requiring 2+ years of IR/Cath Lab experience including Body (trauma) and Neuro (stroke) cases at a Level I Trauma Center.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology Lab in Dallas, TX
- Patient population spans newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups
- Performs IR procedures on both ambulatory and inpatient populations
- 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM with a rotating day off
- Rotating on-call shifts required
- Float requirements apply per facility policy
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR and/or Cath Lab experience required
- Body (trauma) and Neuro (stroke) experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Vascular Interventional (VI) experience preferred
- Active BLS certification (AHA only) required
- ARRT-R certification required
- TX MRT license required (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to report and be ready for a case within 30 minutes of receiving a call, including drive, parking, and walking time
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Date of birth and SSN required for consideration
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions accepted (typically required August–November)
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol under the general supervision of a Radiologist
- Responsible for patient positioning, equipment setup, and adjusting exposure factors for each procedure
- Adheres to radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique protocols for all invasive multimodality procedures
- Maintains accurate medical imaging records and all relevant documentation including patient history, consent forms, and pregnancy status
- May serve as a preceptor for new team members
- Hospital provides scrubs
- This position is subject to a 50-mile radius rule; however, the radius has been waived for this posting due to on-call response requirements — local travelers are not accepted
- Candidates who have previously worked as a permanent employee at this health system may be subject to an eligibility review prior to consideration
