Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro/Neurosurgical position on a night shift contract, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg or telemetry acute care experience with a background in neurology patients.
Details
- 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital
- Position is split across two specialized units: a 12-bed Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center (Brain Rescue Unit) and a 14-bed acute care neurological and neurosurgical inpatient unit (Zayed 12W)
- Adult patient population including stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, spinal surgery, Parkinson's disease, MS, ALS, seizure disorders, and other neurological and spinal conditions
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Every third weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Availability call: 2 twelve-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or telemetry acute care RN experience required
- Neurology patient experience required
- Prior experience at a large acute care facility (500+ bed count) required
- Active licensure documentation required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide specialized nursing care to neurological and neurosurgical patients including stroke, hemorrhagic, and complex CNS disease populations
- Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
