Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of recent experience and a minimum of one completed prior travel assignment.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving as an overflow, post-surgical, and observation unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7
• Unit is transitioning to a team nursing model with LPN support
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact (NLC) license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• ADN degree required (BSN not required for this position)
• BLS certification required
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests made after an offer is extended will not be submitted to the facility for approval
