Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Telemetry night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and the ability to read telemetry strips.

Details

• 39-bed Medical/Telemetry adult inpatient unit (Davenport 9) at a hospital setting
• Patient population consists of adults with multiple medical conditions including low-risk cardiac cases
• RNs working with a PCA typically carry a 4–5 patient assignment; RNs working alone carry 3 patients
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30 (12.5-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating to other units is required (low frequency)
• Day rotators may rotate between 7a–7p, 11a–11p, or 7p–7a when needed; night positions do not rotate
• EMR: Epic (charting system)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending MA licenses are not accepted
• Current AHA BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this facility)
• Current AHA ACLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this facility)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips required
• Telemetry experience and strong nursing assessment skills required
• Knowledge of medication safety and administration required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

• Provide direct patient care to adults with complex medical conditions on a medical/telemetry unit
