Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Emergency Department float pool position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience in a comparable trauma facility.

Details

• Work setting is a high-volume, inner-city Level 1 trauma center ED
• Assigned to a float pool with primary focus on boarding patients in the ED, who may include med/surg, stepdown, or ICU-level patients
• May be asked to float to an acute inpatient unit when necessary
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility
• Demonstrated experience managing critical, fast-paced, high-volume trauma cases with diverse and severe patient presentations
• A resume with no unexplained employment gaps is required for consideration
• An ED-specific skills checklist is required for consideration
• ED professional references are required for consideration
• A badge-appropriate photo is required for consideration

Additional Information

• Primary responsibility involves caring for ED boarder patients across varying acuity levels, including med/surg, stepdown, and ICU-level care
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are unlikely to meet the facility's requirements for this position
