Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience in coronary and peripheral interventions, including permanent pacemaker procedures, at an acute care hospital recognized among America's 100 Best for Coronary Intervention.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting (150 staffed beds) recognized among America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades
- Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and permanent pacemaker implants
- Daily caseload of 8–12 cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call coverage required; no weekend requirement
- No floating within the unit, though travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state
- Epic EMR; experience required
- Free parking provided; assignment parking details given during orientation
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
- Fluoroscopy Permit required — candidates with a pending Fluoro permit will be considered provided they have already applied at the time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active professional license required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- RTO must be communicated and approved at the time of submission; requests made after submission or offer may be denied
- 13-week contract with a 30-hour orientation
- Block scheduling will be considered
- The facility offers housing assistance resources, including access to a realtor if needed
- Located in Eureka, CA — within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks, including Redwood National Park, with access to coastal and hiking activities
