Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring at least 2 years of OR experience, pediatric experience, and on-call availability across adult and pediatric surgical services.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- On-call is required; specifics will be discussed during the manager interview
- No block scheduling
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses located within 15–20 minutes of each other
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Pediatric (PEDS) OR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Degree accreditation documentation required, or minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address; this rule is strictly enforced
- Full demographic information required for consideration: full name, address, email, date of birth, SSN, and RN license number
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Two references required (at least one from within the past year)
Additional Information
- Travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function as core staff
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to offer; RTO will not be approved after submission
