Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of outpatient experience for a 13-week contract at a Level III Trauma facility in Oregon.
Details
- Outpatient care setting at a Level III Trauma hospital
- Day shift with 8 or 10-hour shifts depending on facility need
- Experience with adult outpatient therapy required, including neurological conditions and post-surgical cases
- Inpatient skills are also expected as the role may include some inpatient coverage
- Epic EMR used in this position
Requirements
- Current Oregon OT license or eligibility with evidence of application for licensure — license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
- Outpatient therapy experience required, specifically with adult neurological and post-surgical populations
- Inpatient OT skills required
- Current BLS certification
- Computer literacy and EMR proficiency required
- Valid driver's license or acceptable alternative required
Additional Information
- Provide diagnostic and therapy services under valid provider orders using appropriate professional judgment
- Participate in patient screening, informal evaluations, and interdisciplinary communication for identification and referrals
- Re-evaluate skilled needs, modify treatment plans, and prepare discharge summaries as needed
- Maintain timely written and electronic documentation including billing, evaluation reports, treatment plans, and daily progress notes
- Note: Housing in this area may be very limited for candidates with pets — early planning is strongly recommended
