Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at a 349-bed acute care Level 2 trauma teaching hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a 349-bed acute care Level 2 trauma teaching hospital
• Cath Lab procedures including patient admissions, recovery, and discharge
• Clinical duties include IV management, medication administration, triage, wound cleaning, phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, vital signs, and cardiac monitoring
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NY RN license required; a screenshot or photo of a completed license application may be submitted if the license is not yet in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab procedure experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; only AHA-issued certifications are accepted
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the same specialty are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Experience with Cath Lab admissions, recovery, and discharge of the same patient population is preferred
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Northwell/Nuvance Health location are subject to an eligibility review process prior to placement
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• Travelers will be required to complete onboarding modules prior to assignment start
