Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a float Med/Surg position in Urbana, IL, requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic proficiency on night shifts.
Details
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week), 12-hour shifts
- Float position covering multiple inpatient units including Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU
- No on-call requirements
- Every other weekend shift required
- Every other holiday shift required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Floats to various inpatient units including Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU as needed
- Responsibilities include completing initial and ongoing patient assessments, developing and modifying plans of care, implementing nursing interventions, and coordinating with multidisciplinary team members
- May precept staff from various units as needed
- Unit Nurse Leader Training may be required
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Travelers who have been on assignment continuously for 1 year at this health system must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
