Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float Med/Surg position requiring Trauma Level 1 and Epic experience, working nights at a hospital in Urbana, IL.

Details

• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Float role covering various inpatient units including Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU
• Every other weekend shift required
• Every other holiday shift required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Trauma Level 1 facility
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• Current Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Floats to various inpatient units and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across patient populations
• Conducts patient assessments, develops and implements plans of care, and continuously evaluates and modifies care accordingly
• Responsible for accurate and up-to-date documentation of all nursing care provided
• Precepts staff from various units as needed and may complete Unit Nurse Leader Training
• Upholds patient and employee safety standards, including reporting and resolving safety hazards
• Time off (RTO) is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning
