Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg float pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience, working night shifts at a hospital in Urbana, IL.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting in Urbana, IL
• Float pool role covering multiple inpatient units including Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU (as applicable)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend shift required
• Every other holiday shift required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to similar units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care across various inpatient units and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members
• Completes assessments, develops and modifies individualized plans of care, and documents nursing diagnoses and interventions
• May be required to complete Unit Nurse Leader Training and precept staff from various units
• Responsible for patient and employee safety reporting and hazard correction
• Time off requests not to exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system after reaching that limit
