Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience performing routine and complex echocardiographic procedures in an outpatient echocardiography lab setting.
Details
- Outpatient echocardiography laboratory setting
- Performs a full range of cardiac diagnostic and echocardiographic imaging procedures
- Monday through Friday day shift schedule with on-call rotation
- 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Weekend shifts on a rotation basis
- Holiday coverage is negotiable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
- RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
- BLS (AHA) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows within the echocardiography laboratory
- Critiques positioning, technical factors, and image alignment to maintain acceptable quality standards
- Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness, and documents thoroughly
- Cross-trains to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services
- Assists performing physicians and sonographers in delivering high-quality echocardiographic exams
- Candidates who have been on assignment at this facility for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within this health system
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
