Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 5+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at a clinic in Temple, TX serving both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Details

• Clinic setting serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• MRI/Imaging department
• Patient population spans all age groups including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric
• 3x12-hour shifts per week: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
• Siemens MRI equipment experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Call may be required

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• Active BLS certification (AHA only)
• ARRT-MR and/or ARMRIT certification required
• TX license required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• Flu shot required — no exemptions granted

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to established exam protocols under the general supervision of a Radiologist
• Positions patients, adjusts immobilization devices, and sets exposure factors for each procedure
• Screens individuals prior to entry into the MRI department per approved safety policies
• Obtains and verifies patient documentation including history, pregnancy status, consent forms, and shielding precautions
• Maintains imaging records in appropriate systems in accordance with department standards
• Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance and reports issues as needed
• May serve as a preceptor to train new team members on procedures and initiatives
• Scrubs are not provided — candidates must purchase their own; any solid color or non-inappropriate print is acceptable
