Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical - Neuro unit position requiring community hospital experience and AHA BLS certification, with night shifts and every other weekend availability.
Details
- Medical Surgical - Neuro unit in a community hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to other units is required
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- AHA BLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- All certifications must be AHA-issued
- Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- Travel nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
- Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
