Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Charter House Nursing position in Rochester, MN, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Position is located within a Charter House (long-term care/assisted living) nursing unit
• On-site patient care setting with direct patient access — no remote work available
• 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts available as days (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) or nights (6:00 PM–6:30 AM)
• 3 days per week schedule
• Epic used for charting

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross); must not expire within 3 months of start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an applicable care setting required for this Rochester, MN facility
• A minimum of 3 completed travel assignments may also be considered in lieu of the extended experience requirement
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); if program was not accredited, at least 1 year of RN experience within the last 5 years is required
• If graduation occurred more than 2 years ago, at least 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is required
• COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility
• Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
• Excellent communication skills required

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering nursing care including direct patient care, patient and family education, and care transitions
• Functions within a professional nursing practice model with accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of patient care
• May serve in preceptor or informal leadership roles and may participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Delegates patient care tasks based on skill level, acuity, available resources, and fiscal considerations
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break of 30–60 days is required before returning to a new assignment
• Up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment may be subject to cancellation due to low census
