Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an 865-bed Magnet, Level 1 Trauma, academic teaching hospital
- Daily caseload of 5–8 cases per tech
- Primary shift is 4x10 hours, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- No routine weekend requirement, but on-call includes 1 weeknight every other week, 1–2 weekends per contract, and 1 possible holiday
- Charting via Epic
- Facility-provided scrubs
- Parking is free on weekdays; nights and weekends require a one-time $20 parking pass
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Vascular Interventional Radiology experience required
- Required certifications: ARRT, SCQRSA, and BLS (AHA only)
- SC state license required if applicable — candidates with a pending license may be considered, but must be active/issued prior to start
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront — requests of 7 days or fewer (excluding holidays) can be accommodated more readily; requests exceeding 7 days or including holidays require facility approval
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- This facility is located in a hurricane-prone region; travelers should be aware that all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June – November), with peak activity in August and September
