Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a travel assignment requiring CA licensure, a willingness to float to MS/Tele, and night shift availability including weekend rotation.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• This is an ED Hold position — when not utilized in the ED, the RN will float to a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient care involves IV therapy, Foley catheterization, wound dressings, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and safe medication administration
• 13-week travel contract
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele when not utilized in the ED Hold capacity
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of contract signing

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing thorough patient assessments, clinical procedures, patient and family education, and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Must demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based practice, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and regulatory standards
• Role requires acting as a patient advocate and modeling safety behaviors including reporting errors and near misses
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the assignment
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
