Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with pediatric critical care experience for a 12-hour day shift travel assignment at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center children's hospital.

Details

• Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at a 153-bed children's hospital designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Pediatric patient population including a moderate-sized Cystic Fibrosis population and a chronic Trach/Vent population
• Utilizes critical care ventilators, NIV (CPAP/BiPAP/HHFNC), ABG (GEM), specialized gases including Nitric Oxide and Heliox, and ECMO program
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation, with the option to work additional weekends
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience within the last 5 years
• Current and valid WA state Respiratory Therapist license required — license must be in hand or have proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior to start
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS
• Proficiency in critical care ventilator management, NIV (CPAP/BiPAP/HHFNC), and respiratory disease management of a pediatric population
• Experience with delivery of respiratory medications and all respiratory therapeutic interventions
• Experience with ABG (GEM) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Two supervisor-level references required (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above); one reference accepted at time of consideration, with a second required prior to start

• Facility operates an ECMO program
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; maroon and spice colors are not permitted
