Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with pediatric critical care experience for a 12-hour day shift travel assignment at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center children's hospital.
Details
- Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at a 153-bed children's hospital designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Pediatric patient population including a moderate-sized Cystic Fibrosis population and a chronic Trach/Vent population
- Utilizes critical care ventilators, NIV (CPAP/BiPAP/HHFNC), ABG (GEM), specialized gases including Nitric Oxide and Heliox, and ECMO program
- Epic EMR — experience required
- 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation, with the option to work additional weekends
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience within the last 5 years
- Current and valid WA state Respiratory Therapist license required — license must be in hand or have proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior to start
- Required certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS
- Proficiency in critical care ventilator management, NIV (CPAP/BiPAP/HHFNC), and respiratory disease management of a pediatric population
- Experience with delivery of respiratory medications and all respiratory therapeutic interventions
- Experience with ABG (GEM) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Two supervisor-level references required (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above); one reference accepted at time of consideration, with a second required prior to start

- Applies evidence-based pathways and protocols in the delivery of pediatric respiratory care
- Facility operates an ECMO program
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable; maroon and spice colors are not permitted
