Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU travel position requiring at least 18 months of experience, Cerner proficiency, and an active IN or Compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting within a children's hospital
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, with options for 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts per week
- Holiday coverage required — candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required
- Cerner EMR charting required
Requirements
- Active Indiana (IN) or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required; AHA and RQI formats accepted
- Minimum 18 months to 2 years of PICU RN experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
- Local candidates are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana-licensed RNs are not eligible for this PICU position per facility policy (exceptions apply for Periop, Allied, and Ambulatory RN roles only)
- Former permanent or PRN employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved automatically
- Charge pay opportunities are available at an additional rate per hour
