Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Eureka, CA, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT certification with Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in a Cath Lab at a 150-bed acute care hospital rated among America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades
- Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker implantation
- Daily caseload of 8–12 cases
- Charting via Epic (required)
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call required; no weekend requirement
- Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
- Free parking is available
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Active ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Fluoroscopy Permit required — candidates with a pending Fluoro Permit may be considered if they have already applied at time of consideration
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active professional license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of consideration — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Orientation is 30 hours
- Block scheduling will be considered
- The facility offers housing assistance, including access to a realtor, for travelers who have difficulty finding accommodations
- Located in Eureka, CA — within easy driving distance of 7 state and national parks, including the famous Redwood Highway
