Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring Epic proficiency and night shift availability in a high-acuity 48-bed unit.

Details

• Work in a 48-bed Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Diverse patient population including sepsis, CIWA, AMS/confusion, COPD, post-op, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation, and SI with medical indications
• Patient ratios of 1:6
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Floating required when competencies align with unit needs

Requirements

• Active Idaho RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS must be within 12 months of hire)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Applies the nursing process across multiple age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Responsible for thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
