Description
American Traveler is hiring a multi-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist with 18 months to 2 years of experience for a night shift contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Indiana.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 153 staffed beds, Stroke 1 accredited
- CT Scan unit serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations including adult and pediatric patients
- Equipment includes 2 Philips IQon CT scanners, 2 Siemens DR X-Ray rooms, Carestream portables
- Must be comfortable performing general X-ray in addition to CT
- Charting in Cerner (experience required)
- Night shifts: Friday and Saturday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (2x12-hour shifts)
- On-call required up to 4–5 times per month, including one weekend per month and 1–2 weekdays per month
- Holiday coverage required; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- No floating to sister facilities required
- Free parking on site
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months to 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Current BLS, ARRT certification required
- Active Indiana state license required; pending licensure not accepted — license required if applicable
- Proficiency with Siemens, Philips, and Carestream portable equipment
- Experience performing general X-ray required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must be comfortable working independently at times
- Must be able to work with adult and pediatric patient populations
Additional Information
- Perform CT scanning and general X-ray across ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings
- Position is open to first-time travelers
- Local candidates are accepted for this Allied position
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been away for at least 12 months before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
- Travelers' university must have been accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
