Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week outpatient and inpatient contract position requiring BLS certification and active state licensure.

Details

• Outpatient setting includes two clinic locations: one focused on ortho and sports medicine (PT and OT only), and another offering a broader patient population including ortho, neuro, peds, and a lymphedema program
• Inpatient coverage may include general inpatient (ortho, general medical, surgical, bariatrics, ICU, cardiac), rehab (spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries, ortho), and sub-acute (vented and long-term patients)
• Hiring is specific to either inpatient or outpatient need at time of placement
• Unit includes PT, OT, and Speech Therapy; no rehab aides, OTAs, or PTAs on staff
• Shift is 8 hours, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Weekend requirement: candidates must work either every Saturday or every Sunday
• Holiday coverage is required, rotating with permanent staff (typically one major and one minor holiday)
• Charting is done in Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience required
• Active state PT license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
• A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years; references must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Polo shirts are provided by the facility; candidates should be prepared to wear khakis or black pants
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts on the floor
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
