Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab position, requiring BLS and NIH certifications and serving a diverse patient population including neuro, ortho, cardiac, and oncology cases.
Details
- 27-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes neuro, ortho, cardiac, oncology, and other complex medical care management cases
- Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Floating is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (standard or compact) required
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required and must be in hand
- Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required, with 2 years preferred
- Experience with LVAD preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
