Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) position at a large Level I Trauma Center, requiring critical care experience with PA catheters and night shift availability.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,500+ beds
• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00, including weekends
• Average patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Floating required to ICU and PCU
• Charting via Epic
• On-call is not required
• Parking costs approximately $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Critical care experience with PA (pulmonary artery) catheters required
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required if coming from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital; otherwise, more experience may be expected
• Trauma center experience at a large facility required
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster are required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
