Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring at least 1 year of echocardiography experience and RDCS or RCS certification.
Details
- Non-Invasive Cardiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
- 4x10-hour day shifts with a rotating day off
- Occasional weekend shifts required
- On-call shifts required; must be within 30 minutes of the facility when on call
- Epic used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
- RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required
- BLS (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start date
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis
- Prepares exam rooms, obtains informed consent, and reviews patient history to select appropriate imaging protocols
- Reviews completed studies for quality and completeness, and coordinates image preparation and documentation for physician review
- Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, and maintains supplies and work environment
- Communicates patient information accurately across the care team and ensures safe shift handoffs
- Actively participates in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow
- Transports patients as needed
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
