Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring at least one year of pediatric CVICU experience and Level 1 trauma experience.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital Cardio PICU (Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU)
  • Pediatric cardiovascular patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard OK or Compact/eNLC) currently in hand
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience required
  • Pediatric CVICU experience required
  • Level 1 experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
  • Communicates care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
  • Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract
  • Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
