Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring at least 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience along with Epic proficiency.

• Acute care hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00 (4x12 available upon request)
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Floating between like units and across all facilities within California is required
• Charting in Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs are provided for L&D

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Postpartum experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — requests made after submission or offer may be denied
• Royal blue or navy blue scrubs required when facility-provided scrubs are not in use
