Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic surgical skills for a travel nursing position at a Magnet-designated, Level 3 trauma teaching hospital in Minnesota.
Details
- Operating Room setting within an acute care teaching hospital (317 beds, Level 3 trauma)
- Primary specialty focus is orthopedic surgery, with general OR as a secondary responsibility
- Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts with variable start times (0645, 0900, 1100, or 1445)
- Day and evening shift options available
- On-call required as needed
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- Floating within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required
- Block scheduling can be accommodated
- Charting via Epic (Excellian)
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience with strong orthopedic surgical background required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start date
- Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent staff or per diem must have been away for at least 3 months since their last shift
- RTO requests should not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
