Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and on-call availability.
Details
- Operating Room setting within a 228-bed Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital
- Covers 9 OR rooms
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- No floating to other units required
- On-call is required: 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month; weeknight call hours are 11 PM–7 AM; weekend call shifts are 7 AM–3 PM, 3 PM–11 PM, or 11 PM–7 AM
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting system: SIS
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Prior OR nursing experience required
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Parking is the traveler's responsibility; options include metered street parking ($2.00/hour), or pre-paid hospital parking available at $3.50/day, $17.25/week, or $69/month through the Cashier's Office
- The facility is conveniently accessible via public transportation — the nearest Metro stop is Shaw/Howard University on the Green and Yellow lines; bus routes 70, 71, 90, 92, and 96 also serve the area
