Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 2 years of Level I Trauma facility experience, with night shifts and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

• PCU/Stepdown unit within a large academic medical center
• Med/Surg patient population in a stepdown setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to other universal/progressive care areas within the health system
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration — no licensure hits of any kind will be accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience at a Level I Trauma facility
• Experience required in PCU, acute care (AC), telemetry, and Med/Surg settings
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a travel nurse
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — any RTO requested after submission will not be approved
• Full-week time off requests between May and August will not be approved
• 13-week contract
