Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift weekend position requiring ARRT certification with advanced CT registry and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- CT Scan department within an acute care hospital (373 licensed beds) with no trauma designation
- Serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
- Department averages 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
- CT-guided invasive procedures and cases requiring anesthesia are performed in this department
- Cardiac CT imaging is performed on day shift 7 days/week
- Equipment includes 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, and Edge+) and Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
- EMR: Epic with Epic Radiant RIS; PACS: Philips iSite
- 12-hour night shifts, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM (36 hrs/week)
- On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month
- This is a weekend-only position with no floating required
- Travelers are expected to cover 75% of holidays
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience with most recent experience within the last year
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- Current BLS certification
- Active license required if applicable
- Proficiency in starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must be separated from that facility for at least 1 year before being considered
- Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed, including weekdays regardless of assigned shift
- Guest Services and Transport support are available for inpatient and observation patients
- TeraRecon knowledge is preferred but not required
- Required scrub color is black
- Free parking is available in surface lots and parking decks
- A clinical interview with the manager is required as part of the selection process
