Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a day shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Belleville, IL, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Day shift hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• ICU setting within a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Floating may be required within scope to IMCU and ICU as needed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (no pending licenses accepted for this position)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Experience with line insertion assistance and intubation support required
• Experience with hypothermia protocols required
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD required
• Experience with IABP required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Assist with line insertions, intubations, hypothermia protocols, CRRT/CVVHD, and IABP management
• Navy scrubs required
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work at BJC facilities for up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break is required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required
