Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT/PET Tech) for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care Magnet-designated hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, requiring at least 1 year of NM experience with a minimum of 6 months in PET imaging.
Details
- Work in a 426-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital
- Primary placement in the PET department with potential float to Nuclear Medicine as needed
- Travelers may also be expected to float between facilities within the state per facility policy
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Schedule is 4x10 or 5x8 day shifts
- Post-shift and rotating weekend call required; call expectations may vary based on experience level and will be discussed during the interview
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience with at least 6 months of PET experience required — no exceptions
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
- Current CA state license required (if applicable)
- Current BLS required
- PET certification is not required, but PET experience is mandatory
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of experience; candidates with less may be screened on a case-by-case basis
- 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Professional license must be active at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local rate eligibility
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Scrub color for this department not specified; RN scrubs are Royal Blue for reference
