Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a day shift travel assignment in Reno, NV, requiring a valid NV RN license and at least 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
Details
- Position is located in a Cancer Nursing Unit (Oncology) within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week contract assignment
- Epic EMR used for charting; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required
- All certifications must be AHA-issued
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
- SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- A 13-week break is required before a returning traveler may begin a new contract at this facility
- Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the assignment
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration; time will not be added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
- Kronos used for time keeping

Some Charge Nurses harass Travelers, resulting in avoiding asking them for support, potentially resulting in poor patient outcomes. Poor support from Charge Nurses in completing required skin checks, and ensuring that documentation is completed and consigned by the correct Nurses.
