Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
Details
- Vascular Interventional Radiology unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Day shift schedule: 7:30AM–5:00PM working four 9-hour shifts per week (4/9s)
- 36 hours per week
- Call-only rotation on weekends; holiday rotation required
- Procedural caseload includes peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (arterial and venous), and venous thrombectomy
- Neuro IR experience is ideal but not required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Experience with venous thrombectomy, moderate sedation management, hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and procedural documentation
Additional Information
- Administers medications and manages patient care during moderate sedation procedures
- Monitors hemodynamics throughout procedures and provides procedural documentation
- Demonstrates proficiency with supplies and equipment used in interventional radiology procedures
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must adhere to the health system's returning worker policy
