Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Infusion/Oncology position at an outpatient cancer center, requiring chemo certification and prior ambulatory infusion experience.

Details

• Outpatient infusion setting within a large academic medical center affiliated with a Level I Trauma Center
• Oncology infusion unit focused on chemotherapy administration
• Typical caseload of 6–8 chemotherapy patients per day
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free parking available
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior ambulatory/outpatient infusion experience required, specifically administering chemotherapy
• Candidates with inpatient-only experience will not be considered
• Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administers chemotherapy and infusion therapy to oncology patients in an outpatient clinic environment
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine with booster required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Candidates who were previously permanent employees at this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• RTO requires facility approval; up to 7 days may be auto-approved
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
