Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Generalist) for a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and the ability to work independently in the Emergency Department and inpatient portable imaging settings.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 1,567 staffed beds, operating as a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center
- Generalist X-Ray role supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient portable imaging for both pediatric and adult populations
- Daily caseload is variable, dependent on Emergency Department and portable inpatient imaging volume
- Equipment includes Fuji units in the Emergency Department and Carestream portable units for inpatient imaging
- Charting via Epic
- 5x8-hour evening shifts, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Schedule runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with every other Saturday and Sunday
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active state license required; pending license accepted if active prior to start date — license required if applicable
- Experience at a large Trauma Center required
- Ability to function independently in Emergency Department and inpatient portable imaging environments
- Experience with both pediatric and adult patient populations
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
- Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are considered
- Teal scrubs required
- Parking is available at a cost of $125/month
