Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with GE CT scanners and Epic EMR.
Details
- Acute care hospital CT department with 4 CT rooms, also shared with X-ray (3 rooms plus endo, OR, and portables), MRI (2 rooms), Nuclear Medicine (2 rooms plus PET), Ultrasound (3 rooms), IR (2 rooms), and Mammography (3 rooms)
- Varied imaging studies and procedures performed in CT and related imaging departments
- May be required to float and cover CT, X-ray, OR, Endo, and ED
- EMR: Epic | PACS: McKesson
- Required equipment: GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanners
- Radiation badge provided by the facility
- 3–4 x 12-hour day shifts per week with 2 nights of call per week
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- Schedule is set by the supervisor; self-scheduling is not available
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience; X-ray or CT experience preferred
- Active ARRT (CT) certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
- Active BLS certification required
- Proficiency with GE CT scanners (GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable — active state or compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address)
- Cannot be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform varied CT imaging studies and support cross-departmental imaging needs including X-ray, OR, Endo, and ED coverage
- 1–2 shifts of department-specific orientation provided
- Successful travelers in this department are flexible, positive, and willing to learn and work
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to remove will result to contract termination
- Candidates who were previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms at CommonSpirit-affiliated facilities will be considered
- Candidates who were directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible
- RTO must be requested upfront; 7 or fewer days allowed per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved
