Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool (MS/Tele/PCU) position at a hospital in Nashua, NH, working night shifts with a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.
Details
- Float Pool position covering Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adult med/surg, cardiac telemetry, and progressive care patients
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 4x12-hour shifts per week
- Defined workweek runs from Sunday at 12:01am through Saturday at 11:59pm
- Floating to Psych units may be required as needed
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, and/or PCU settings required
- Basic Dysrhythmia certification required (must be obtained prior to completion of orientation if not already held)
Additional Information
- Provide professional nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units, including comprehensive clinical documentation and care plans each shift
- Communicates patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding (AIDET)
- Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality improvement initiatives
- Monitors and contributes to unit-based nurse-sensitive indicators such as CAUTI, CLABSI, CDIFF, HAPU, falls, hand hygiene, and VAE
- May serve as preceptor for new nurses and collaborates with nursing students and instructors
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation
- Participates in DNV survey readiness activities
