Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 6-week travel contract requiring strong multi-specialty surgical skills including the ability to both circulate and scrub, with prior travel experience required.
Details
- Academic medical center OR setting
- Rotating 10-hour Day/Evening shifts, Monday through Sunday
- Weekend and on-call requirements — schedule flexibility is mandatory
- No block scheduling available
- Multi-specialty OR caseload including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, cardiovascular/thoracic, and trauma
- Da Vinci Robotics experience required
- Epic EMR is used and required
Requirements
- Active VT or Compact RN license required — candidates without a VT license will be accepted, and NY candidates will be considered with proof of a pending NY license
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Large Trauma Level 1 facility experience required
- Must be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing
- Strong multi-specialty OR skills required: general surgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, and cardiovascular/thoracic
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Reliable personal transportation is required — public transportation is not accessible in this area, and all-season or snow tires are strongly recommended from November through April
Additional Information
- Candidate must be available to start within the next week of offer
- All employment gaps of 90 days or more must be explained in your work history
- Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR used, facility type, and trauma level for each position
- This is an immediate offer (IVS) position — no formal interview process
